US firm Stream Global Services is
to add 400 jobs at its call centre operation in Dublin.
It is reported that the company
has won a contract from Microsoft to support customers of its
Xbox 360 games console in the European market.
Stream
Global Services says it is a premium business process
outsource (BPO) service provider specializing in customer
relationship management including sales, customer care and
technical support for Fortune 1000 companies. The firm says it
is a trusted partner to some of the world's leading technology,
computing, telecommunications, retail, entertainment/media, and
financial services companies. It has a workforce of
approximately 30,000 employees based out of 50 solution centres
in 22 countries supporting more than 35 languages.
Recruitment at Stream’s Santry
operation has already begun.
Stream currently employs about
300 staff at its Irish operation and it provides technical
support, customer service and sales for a number of clients
which include software companies, PC manufacturers, service
providers, airlines and consumer electronics makers.
Stream provides technical support services for Eircom’s
residential and business broadband customers, and the €13.5m
contract was renewed last November.
